Terminal adaptive invariants are conditional readouts #
An exact CL presentation has no remaining coordinates at its final level. The terminal residual measurements therefore act on the auxiliary register alone. Valid answers have exactly the claimed question readout; the malformed outcome remains an explicit sum of conditional auxiliary effects.
Stated in a bipartite model (Phase 4 of planning/mipco-track.md): a terminal residual operator
is a block matrix over the empty remaining register with entries in the first player's algebra
𝒜 of the auxiliary model, so it is its single entry, at the unique (zero) vector. That
identification is a unital ⋆-algebra isomorphism onto 𝒜 (terminalResidualEquiv), which
replaces the basis reindexing inserting the unique empty-register vector; the auxiliary
measurement terminalAuxPOVM is a POVM in 𝒜, pushed forward along it; and the question readout
tensored with an auxiliary effect X is smulKron X (readout P.eval y), the conditionalReadout
of FinalExtraction.lean, whose extractedStrategy takes such auxiliary families in 𝒜.
Every vector on the empty remaining register is its zero vector.
The terminal residual algebra is the auxiliary algebra: a block matrix over the empty remaining register is its entry at the unique empty-register vector.

Instances For
Reassembling a terminal residual operator is exactly a question readout tensored with its single entry, an operator of the auxiliary algebra.
Forget only the question component of a valid answer. Malformed answers remain malformed.
Instances For
Coarsening a terminal branch loses no valid-answer effect: its question component was already fixed by the structural support invariant.
The actual auxiliary measurement extracted from the terminal invariant, in the first player's
algebra of the auxiliary model. It is normalized on Option A, including the malformed outcome.

Instances For
Every valid terminal answer is an exact conditional readout of the question, with the concrete auxiliary PVM constructed above.
Malformed answers are retained as the sum of their conditional auxiliary effects. No zero-malformed-mass assumption is used.
